St. Louis Bertrand

The statue gives St. Louis Bertrand recognizably Filipino features. The gun with the crucifix in the barrel refers to a miracle in which an assassin was about to shoot him when the saint made the sign of the cross and the gun turned into a crucifix.
The stone plaque reads, in English, "Saint Louis Beltran / Dominican Missionary / Valencia Spain / [dates illegible] / Patron Saint of Bintzuan [Bintan Island, in the Philippines] – 1760 / Solano – 1860 / [remaining lines illegible]
